Terms of service
In effect from 31 July 2026.
These are the terms on which you use Uniland. Using it means agreeing to them. They are written in ordinary English on purpose. An agreement nobody can read is not much of an agreement.
Uniland is operated by WIRED INTELLIGENCE LTD, company number CS171992020, of Dansoman Sahara Down, Accra, Ghana. “We” means that company; “you” means you.
1. Who can use Uniland
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must be a student, or otherwise genuinely connected to one of the campuses we serve.
- One account each. Selling, sharing or renting your account is not allowed, and neither is creating a second one to get around a block or a ban.
- The details you give us must be true. Uniland works because people are who they say they are.
Selling on the marketplace, hosting events and uploading notes require verified student status. That verification is what makes a campus marketplace safer than a public one, and we will withdraw it from anyone who abuses it.
2. What you may post
The rules live in the community guidelines, which form part of these terms. In short: no hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content, scams, exam leaks, impersonation or spam. We remove content that breaks them and suspend or ban accounts that keep doing it.
3. Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you post. To run the service we need permission to store it, display it to the students you posted it to, and resize or re-encode images so they load on a slow connection. So you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to do those things, for as long as the content is on Uniland.
That licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your posts to advertise Uniland, and we do not license them to anyone else.
Do not post material you have no right to post. If you believe something on Uniland infringes your copyright, email support@blacheinc.com with the details and where to find it.
4. The marketplace is between students
Listings, hostel adverts and roommate requests are posted by students, not by us. We are not the seller, the landlord or a party to the deal. We do not hold the money, inspect the goods or guarantee the room exists.
- Meet in a public place on campus, in daylight.
- Inspect what you are buying before you pay.
- Be suspicious of any seller who wants payment before you have met, and report them.
We verify that sellers are students. We do not verify what they are selling.
5. Events and tickets
When you buy a ticket, your contract for attending the event is with the organiser, not with us. We provide the ticketing.
- The organiser sets the price and the refund policy. They can refund an order from their sales screen; we do not overrule them except where an event is cancelled.
- If an event is cancelled, every paid order is refunded automatically. The same happens if the organiser deletes their Uniland account.
- A ticket that has already been scanned at the gate cannot be refunded, because the thing paid for has been provided.
- Mobile money refunds usually arrive within minutes. Card refunds depend on your bank and can take several working days.
- Tickets are personal. Reselling them above face value through Uniland is not allowed.
Payments are processed by Paystack. We charge a platform fee of 5% on paid tickets, which is added to the buyer’s total and shown before payment. The organiser receives the full ticket price. Free events cost nothing.
6. What we provide, and what we don’t promise
We work to keep Uniland available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app first.
We are not responsible for what other students post, sell or do, including transactions arranged through Uniland and meetings that follow from them. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, from Settings → Account in the app or on the web. It is immediate and permanent. Here is exactly what that deletes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the community guidelines, or where we are required to. Except where a delay would put someone at risk, we will tell you why and you can appeal to safety@blacheinc.com.
8. Changes to these terms
We will give notice in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Uniland after that means accepting the new terms; if you would rather not, delete your account.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
